My review of Last Sacrifice

12/02/12 - Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy #6) by Richelle Mead - Released 7th December 2010
- Warning - May contain spoilers for those who have not read the previous books.

The final book in the Vampire Academy series. A brilliant ending for a brilliant set of books!

Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6)Murder. Love. Jealousy. And the ultimate sacrifice. Now, with Rose on trial for her life and Lissa first in line for the Royal Throne, nothing will ever be the same between them.

I'm sure most people think this as well: Why did the journey have to end?

I have grown to love Rose; to love her courage and her loyalty. Letting go of such a character was hard. I wanted her story to carry on, I wanted there to be more books in the Vampire Academy series, but if that happened, the ending might not have been perfect. Possibly not as good as this one.

I've become attached to the main characters and I now hold them close to my heart. I can't wait to read the rest of the Bloodlines series to see some more familiar faces.

Last Sacrifice was, overall, very good! It has everything you could want to read about. Action, romance, friendship and humorous characters.

The book pretty much picks off from where Spirit Bound left off. Rose is trapped in a cell, accused of murdering the Queen. Oooo, not good. Her father, Abe, is doing his best to find some evidence against the charges, but time is running out. Rose's friends: Lissa, Christian, Eddie, Adrian and even Dimitri, manage to break Rose out of prison. Then, she's on the run, but being free has a price. She had to leave Lissa and Adrian behind, they are royalty and taking them with her would be suicide.

But there's another problem. The Queen left Rose a note. Lissa has a sister....but who is she?

DUM DUM DUM! Sadly, I already knew who it was because I had read Bloodlines before reading this series! GRRRR. Biggest regret. So I pretty much knew what was going to happen. Nevertheless, the book was fun and full of scenes that I can't get out of my head.

Favourite Quote:
“Ah, my daughter,ʺ he said. ʺEighteen, and already youʹve been accused of murder, aided felons, and acquired a death count higher than most guardians will ever see.ʺ He paused. ʺI couldnʹt be prouder.”
If only my dad was like that?

Richelle Mead? Definitely one of my favourite authors, NO DOUBT IN MY MIND!!! I can't wait to read more of her amazing books!
