My review of Wolfsbane

02/01/12 - Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer - Released 26th July 2011 (UK Edition)

Wonderful. Just as brilliant and amazing as the first. Everything I could have wished for in a sequel.

Wolfsbane (Nightshade, #2)
This thrilling sequel to the much-talked-about Nightshade begins just where it ended.Calla Tor wakes up in the lair of the Searchers, her sworn enemy, and she's certain her days are numbered.

But then the Searchers make her an offer, one that gives her the chance to destroy her former masters and save the pack and the man she left behind. Is Ren worth the price of her freedom? And will Shay stand by her side no matter what? Now in control of her own destiny, Calla must decide which battles are worth fighting and how many trials true love can endure and still survive.

Wolfsbane. Sequel to the bestselling Nightshade. Wolfsbane....the book everyone will love. I was so pleased with this book! After I read Nighshade, I bought this straight away. I wasn't dissappointed!

Characters
Once again, I must say that Andrea has a way with characters. She develops them so well, makes them seem so real. Calla is a lovely girl, but she can also be dangerous, deadly. A beautiful and determined wolf, who has fallen for Shay, a boy that Calla turned into a wolf. I love/loved/will always love Shay! He was such a gentleman in this book, caring and considerate, my fictional crush.

Ansel, he was a brilliant character in the last book, I was heart broken to read about him with no feelings. The ray of sunshine in him is now gone. He used to bring humour and innocence to the book, it's hard to see such a great character torn up.

Favourite quote:
“Yeah, she is great. I spent the whole week with her."
"Doing what?" I asked, catching a growl before it left my throat.
"Aw, you're cute when you're jealous.”

Personally, I loved this book but I found some reactions that I thought were quite funny:

I don't agree! I have forced recommended the Nighshade series to many of my friends and they had all LOVED it!

In Bloodrose, I hope that things are sorted out and that I get a good ending! A happily ever after WOULD be nice. Since I've been waiting for quite a long time for Bloodrose, I don't want to be dissappointed. There's been mixed reviews on Bloodrose.....so.....er.....we shall see!

I rate this book:
