Waiting on Wednesday (10)

Hey,

This week I'm waiting for...
Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles, #2)
Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marissa Meyer
Release Date: February 13, 2013
This book will feature Cinder and Little Red Riding Hood and will take place in France.

Cinder returns in the second thrilling installment of the New York Times-bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She’s trying to break out of prison—even though if she succeeds, she’ll be the Commonwealth’s most wanted fugitive.

Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit’s grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn’t know about her grandmother and the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother’s whereabouts, she has no choice but to trust him, though he clearly has a few dark secrets of his own.

As Scarlet and Wolf work to unravel one mystery, they find another when they cross paths with Cinder. Together, they must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen who will do anything to make Prince Kai her husband, her king, her prisoner.

I'm really excited about this one! I enjoyed Cinder A LOT and I can't wait to find out what happens in this very good looking sequel.

  1. Arg. Everyone's telling me to read Cinder, AND I have it on my Kindle right now, but so many NetGalley titles to get through first, lol.

I'll try to read Cinder in the near future just so I can read Scarlet.

  3. This is one of the most pleasantly surprising original YA story I've read. I never thought I'd like Cinderella as a cyborg but MMeyer's version of it is wonderful.

This series sounds really good, I need to pick up Cinder. Shame about the cover though, it's kinda plain. :/

  8. Don't think terribly of me, but I haven't read Cinder yet. I know, I know. Pathetic. I want to, trust me. It is one that i am very excited about. But I think I will wait just a little bit longer to read it so that I won't have to wait so long for this little gem. This cover is GORGEOUS by the way!
