Book Haul (#48)

Hey,

I haven't really done anything this week. But out of no where, my mum said we were going to France... FOR ONE DAY! So that's what I did on Friday. We visited Calais, because that's where the ferry dropped us and I was surprised because everything was so... clean. I mean, come to England and the streets aren't exactly pretty! Ahaha. Where's your favourite place to visit? Anywhere in the world! Let me know. ;)

This week I bought and won:
The Secret of Ella and Micha (The Secret, #1)Dead Romantic
The Secret of Ella and Micha (The Secret #1) by Jessica Sorensen - Bought -
I saw this on Goodreads and thought that it looked absolutely adorable!! So I bought it and absolutely loved it! I can't wait to read the sequel.
Dead Romantic by C. J. Skuse - Won -
Thank you, Chicken House and Rabiah at Confessions of a Readaholic! I won a signed copy and it sounds and looks so cool. I've heard a lot about this author and I'm interested to see what the hype is about.

Leave a link to your Book Haul/Stacking the Shelves/Letterbox Love/In My Mailbox/Showcase Sunday in the comments so I can check it out!

Enjoy your books,
Sam :D

  4. I would love to visit anywhere in Europe but especially England, Scotland, Ireland, and Germany. Perhaps one day:) I did get to go to Greece and Turkey for several weeks for an art history college trip. It was a great time! I wouldn't mind being a world traveler so I need to hurry up and win the lottery soon, lol.

  5. I've never been to Calais, but I'm rather surprised you found the streets clean. Maybe it's just Calais. France certainly never struck me as a "clean" country. Oh, cleaner than China and Russia by far! But otherwise, really, I found it dirtier than London and rather more on the line with Spain and Italy. The countries that have always seemed super clean to me are Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. But then, it's been awhile since I've visited any of those places, so perhaps they aren't as clean now. I also recall Denmark, Finland, and Sweden as being fairly clean as well, but more like the average American city than like the super-clean Switzerland.
You asked my favorite city to visit. It's not a very clean one, but I do love Edinburgh. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed your outing to Calais for a day.

    1. Yeah... Maybe it is just that one city. :( Ah Germany? Is it nice? I'm going to Rhineland on a school trip.

I would love to visit America!! Clean streets or otherwise. ^_^

Thank you for sharing!! Ahha ::D
