The Parts I Remember
The Parts I Remember by A. K. Mills
Release Date: March 1, 2013
Act first. Think never. Remember nothing.

Welcome to Kelly Rockport’s existence at Haysville University, where responsibility is just an elective. After all, fake IDs, alter egos, and one-night stands are all part of the college experience, right? So what if she blacks out from time to time? Memory is overrated.

When freshman year lasts about as long as a one-night stand and is quickly followed by the Year of the Blackout, Kelly projects junior year to be nothing shy of amazing. But as shots, beer, cocaine and men mesh together in an intoxicating haze, Kelly’s reckless ways get her into serious trouble. The only problem is, she can't remember what happened.

As she hovers along the edge of consciousness, Kelly forces herself to think past her pain to piece together the shards of her life. This is her story, told in her words: The Parts I Remember.

How did you get the idea for The Parts I Remember?
The idea for The Parts I Remember came to me one night after a family member ended up in the hopsital after a night of drinking. It lead me to ask a lot of "what if" questions. The title came later when I was out to dinner with my cousin and we were talking about college and laughing at the parts we remembered.

What can readers expect from the book?
Readers can expect to have their heartstrings yanked, sensibities challenged, and morals questioned as they fall in and out of love with the main character, Kelly Rockport. You either were her or knew her, loved her or hated her. Regardless, the journey she takes them on will be one they won't forget.

Can you relate to the reckless main character Kelly in any way?
I had a lot of fun in college, but not on the same level as Kelly. I can relate to having an older sister or, in my case, sisters, who tried to steer me in certain directions when they didn't approve of what I was doing at the time.

Have you got a favourite YA book/series at the moment?
I recently purchased my first Colleen Hoover book. I am intrigued by how she got her start in the business and am looking forward to reading her books. But over the last decade, I would have to say that I have really enjoyed reading Sophie Kinsella. She is definitely one of my favorite authors.

Are you working on any other projects?
Yes, I have a couple of projects started. Every time that I get a new idea, I start the story. Whether I write one word or a thousand words, I get my thoughts down so that I can come back to it. There is nothing more frustating than thinking of a good story and then forgetting it when you have the time to write it. The story that I am currently focusing on evaluates the relationships of three young couples.

If readers want to find you, where can they go?
They can find me at my Website, on Goodreads, on Facebook: or by Email. I love to hear feedback: good, bad, or ugly.

Enjoy the rest of the tour!
