This week I'm waiting for...
Release Date: April 15, 2014
Lucy and Owen meet somewhere between the tenth and eleventh floors of a New York City apartment building, on an elevator rendered useless by a citywide blackout. After they're rescued, they spend a single night together, wandering the darkened streets and marveling at the rare appearance of stars above Manhattan. But once the power is restored, so is reality. Lucy soon moves to Edinburgh with her parents, while Owen heads out west with his father.
Lucy and Owen's relationship plays out across the globe as they stay in touch through postcards, occasional e-mails, and -- finally -- a reunion in the city where they first met.
A carefully charted map of a long-distance relationship, Jennifer E. Smith's new novel shows that the center of the world isn't necessarily a place. It can be a person, too.
I've never read a book involving a long distance relationship and this simply sounds brilliant! Not to mention the fact that it's written by Jennifer E. Smith, author of The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight and This Is What Happy Looks Like. I've enjoyed both of her books and I can tell that this one if not going to disappoint.
Have a good week,
Sam :D
The blurb sounds really good! :) I'll add it to my wishlist as well :)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for this one too! I haven't read the previous books from the author before, so I guess this one would be my first. Hope it's awesome :) And Merry Christmas xx

Ooo. I haven't read either of those books by this author. I don't think her books are for me :\ BUT, I hope you read and enjoy this book! Perhaps your future review will sway me ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays!
Check out my WoW post!
Absolutely Waiting on this one with you this Wednesday! Or Thursday, actually! And the cover is as cute as the rest of these books. I love that they all go together so well, but are each their own style, like the stories!
ReplyDeleteLOVE all her books! They're fun and real and the couple always communicates well:)
