Zara is at the center of an impending apocalypse. True, she’s successfully rescued Nick from Valhalla, but it simply isn’t enough. Evil pixies are ravaging Bedford, and they need much more than one great warrior; they need an army.
Zara isn’t sure what her role is anymore. She’s not just fighting for her friends; she’s also a pixie queen. And to align her team of pixies with the humans she loves will be one of her greatest battles yet. Especially since she can’t even reconcile her growing feelings for her pixie king . . .
Endure is the fourth and final book in the Need series. Zara White is back one more time to fight evil blue pixies and save the world. Shocking twists and an unexpected romance turn, Endure is the conclusion that all fans have been waiting for.
After rescuing Nick from Valhalla, Zara is back to fight the evil pixies lurking around every corner of the city. She has to prepare her team of pixies and friends for a gruesome battle. Being a pixie queen isn't easy, Zara's had to make sacrifices and take risks. But will they pay off in this battle against evil monsters?
Taking a brake from all the fighting, there's something else Zara has to realise. Where does her heart belong? That's what all fans have been waiting for, right? Nick, the wolf, or Astley, the pixie king. Carrie Jones has written a cute and heart-breaking story line.
Zara is a confident and strong heroine. She has grown so much since we first met her in Need, when she was that strange girl mumbling phobias to her self. She is now strong enough to make her own decisions, stand up for herself and take on anything thrown her way.
I felt that in this book, we see a harsher, more closed-minded side of Nick. For half the book he was plain annoying. He couldn't simply accept the fact that his girlfriend became a pixie to save him. No, he has to act like she's a monster. What happened to 'unconditional love'? You can't love someone and then feel differently just because they aren't the right species. He had some good moments in the book, too. The very few glimpses of the kind and caring Nick inside.
Now on to....Astley! Wooo! Team Astley! The pixie king for the win. I loved the fact that we saw more of him in this book. He is a truly great character. I enjoyed reading every single page with his name on it. He stands beside Zara no matter how crazy her ideas are, he lets her make her own decisions and, most importantly, he loves her for who she is inside, not her species. *Growls at Nick*
Reading the Need series has been an entertaining and exciting roller-coaster. Even though I'm sad to see it end, I will definitely be checking out more of Carrie Jones' work. Want a crazy, action-packed pixie book? Pick up this series.
