I cannot even put into words how much I enjoyed this book! The action and the mysteries and.. the romance!! I simply could not get enough of everything that was on the pages. Especially Celaena. I adore her so, so, so much. She is badass. She can be cold and have a heart of steel when it comes to her job, but when it comes to those that she loves, she almost turns into a completely different person! But of course, keeping the sarcastic tone that suits her well.

With everything going on with the King and the rebels, I couldn't help my attention wandering to: who is the best man for Celaena? Now, there is the King's son, Dorian, and then there is Dorian's best friend and captain of the guards, Chaol. I was genuinely torn between the two. Dorian was my favourite, and then Chaol was my favourite, and then Dorian, and then Chaol, and so it goes on. After the ending, I am STILL not sure. They are two amazing, amazing guys, who have both made mistakes but I love them both and... I neeeed the next book!!

One thing I must praise Maas for is the way she writes action scenes. They are detailed and accurate, and it's perfect for when you are imagining it going on in your head. It's like she's had personal experience... maybe she has! ;)

Crown of Midnight is one of the best YA fantasies this year and you should not miss it if you've read Throne of Glass. If you haven't then.................. GO AND DO IT NOW!?!??!?!

Aria and Perry... They are just too cute and completely perfect... I love them!!! I need Into the Still Blue because I need to find out what happens, but also because I just adore the characters so much and hope that we get lots of cute romantic scenes! ;) Not to mention, I've fallen for Roar a bit more too.

Book Haul (#55)

Hey,

Another fairly uneventful week has gone by once again! Summer is going to be over before I actually decide I want to do something... I'm sure this will happen!

I did take my little brother to see Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters at the cinema though!

I LOVED IT! I haven't read any of the books, I think I might because I've heard that they're quite good and the films skip a few things that happens... So I'll probably check them out sometime. But this film was just..... GAH I LOVED IT!!

If you enjoyed the first one make sure you go and see this one. I've heard that they are going to make the third book "The Titan's Curse" into a movie and have it out by 2015........................ That's too long. :( I hope it's out before then! I love me some Logan Lerman.

I'm getting into Cat's novels because I liked Undone, but that seems to be the only one I like out of the novels she has out so far. Hopefully this one will be good, it's a very short story for dyslexia readers which I'm eager to try out.

Unbreakable (Unravelling #2) by Elizabeth Norris - Borrowed -
All I can say is: WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! Ben is hotttttttt. Definitely adore this cover and I've been waiting for this book for so long.... GAH! HOPEFULLY I WILL LOVE IT AS MUCH AS THE FIRST <3 TYPING IN CAPITALS BECAUSE OF EXCITEMENT.

Paradise is a collection of the Paradise duo: Leaving Paradise and Return to Paradise. Based around a tragic accident that has changed two teenagers' lives completely, we watch as their attraction to each other draws them closer together as they try to piece together the events of the accident and how to work through it. I enjoyed every moment in Paradise and devoured it in one sitting.

I just adored the idea for this book as soon as I read the blurb! A boy who makes a mistake and crashes into a girl, leaving her with a limp while he's locked up in juvie for a year. When he gets out, they come face to face and can't deny the attraction towards each other even after the accident... It sounded too romantic to miss. 

I enjoyed the character of Caleb, who is strong and confident, arrogant at times but completely lovable on the inside. He certainly knows how to charm a girl! As for Maggie, she starts off a bit rocky; not quite sure of herself, but she eventually grows into someone stronger by the end, which I liked. 

The relationship between Caleb and Maggie... Well, you might say that it was all a bit sudden, and I agree. But nevertheless, I loved how the two comforted and helped each other get through the difficulties that the accident has left them with.

I just need to thank all the stars that they have put these two books together because I don't I could have survived the wait to find out what happened in the second story! Caleb and Maggie's relationship is very easy to get addicted to!

I must say, I think Perfect Chemistry beats this because there is a bit more interesting storyline, the characters are definitely more developed, and the romance is slightly more exciting. Nevertheless, I did enjoy this duology and it reminded me of why I love Simone Elkeles so much.

My review of The Eternity Cure

In The Immortal Rules, Allison chose to become a vampire instead of dying. And that's exactly where The Eternity Cure picks up. Except she is having nightmares of her creator of Kanin being tortured and she is determined to find and help him. This means breaking into the vampire walls, trusting someone who she thought she'd never have to meet, and learning how to keep her emotions under control. Especially as a developed from of the Red Lung virus is spreading and everyone could be in danger.

Julie Kagawa has done it again! How many awesome books can this lady write? I was engrossed in this story and was endlessly surprised at all the twists she brought into the story. I was sitting there after some of the chapters thinking, "Oh. My. Gosh.... AHHHHRRRRRRRR!" And obviously I stayed up super late to finish it because "Just one more chapter" just didn't seem to satisfy me.

I'm still unsure of whether I loved this one more or less than the previous books, or maybe my feelings are the same. All I know is that I enjoyed the plot and the writing immensely, as well as the characters. Allison is strong and one of the best heroines out there. She kicks butt all round, which made the action scenes incredible!

 After that horrible, horrible cliffhanger, I am on edge for the third and final book! I know Julie probably has something mindbogglingly amazing lined up, just like she did for the Iron Fey series, and I simply cannot accept this one year wait. Luckily, The Iron Traitor will be out at the end of the year so there is something to look forward to.

I've read the Nightshade trilogy by Andrea Cremer and really enjoyed it, but Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by David Levithan didn't really do it for me. Oh well, the two authors might have done a good job on this one.
Changeling (Order of Darkness #1) by Philippa Gregory - Borrowed -
I didn't read the blurb for this when I requested it at the library. When I got home and read it, I was a bit like, "What? Wait, er, what?" So, I don't quite understand, I'll give it a go anyway. ;)

Awakenings by J. E Shannon - Received -
Thank you, Entranced Publishing! I'm almost finished and all I can say is that this book is awesome! It's like a paranormal/zombie and... Gah! :D I'm on the blog tour, so watch out for the post on August 17th.
